ANNOUNCIATA is a tribute to the rigor and spontaneous liveliness of our mother. It is obtained from Grappello Ruberti grapes harvested by hand in the property's vineyards. The prolonged maceration on the pomace is followed by a meticulous refinement process in French oak barriques and tonneaux which characterize its strong aromatic scents, intense freshness and minerality.


ORIGIN

The Grappello Ruberti grapes used to obtain ANNOUNCIATA come from the “Val d'Oca” vineyard between San Matteo and Sabbioni in the province of Mantua in that strip of land which, alongside the Oglio Natural Park, is wedged into the Po river. The land it is characterized by the deep layer of clayey alluvial sediments which guarantees a high water retention capacity and constant supply of nutrients. The presence of a delicate superficial calcareous vein requires the vine to carry out selective and delicate root absorption. The intermediate climate between oceanic and Mediterranean in conjunction with the most passionate care of the vineyard constitute fundamental ingredients for a wine with balanced structure and exquisite minerality.

PAIRINGS AND TASTING TIPS

Grilled or Roasted Red Meats: The tannic structure of ANNUNCIATA makes it an ideal companion for grilled, roasted red meats and Florentine steak. Matured Cheeses: Try pairing ANNOUNCIATA with thirty-six month aged cheeses such as Pecorino Toscano or Parmigiano-Reggiano. Roasted or Cacciatora Chicken: Chicken meat, especially roasted or prepared Cacciatora style with tomatoes, olives and Mediterranean flavours, can be an excellent pairing with ANNOUNCIATA. Porcini Mushrooms: Dishes based on porcini mushrooms, such as risotto with porcini mushrooms or roasted porcini mushrooms, can be enhanced by the body and structure of ANNOUNCIATA. Risottos and Pasties: Try pairing ANNOUNCIATA with rich dishes such as truffle risotto or typical Emilian meat-based pasties. Service:
